As this webpage author has stated in his previous webpages, the existence of "God" (i.e. Creator) is an obvious given:
Hebrews 3:4 (KJ21)...every house is built by some man, but He that built all things is God.
Hebrews 3:4 (RSV) ...every house is built by some one, but the builder of all things is God.
and:
Romans 1:20 (RSV) Ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature, namely, His eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse;
Romans 1:20 (KJ21) For from the creation of the world the invisible things of Him are clearly seen, being understood through the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.
How has the Creator's "Godhead" been seen and understood, in the sense of what precisely is the Creator's "Godhead?"
That physical objects consist of gas, liquid, or solid - depending upon the temperature? That an egg consists of the three components of shell, white, and yolk? That the Trinitarian Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are revealed in nature by the sovereign and absolute authority of the Father, the redemptive resurrection restoration power of the Son, and the life-giving Spirit who gives breath to lifeforms who or which are not dead and non-breathing and completely motionless?
The sovereignty of the Father is simply that you can talk all you want to a huge boulder or tree or whatever else in God's creation to get out of your way, but it will not comply. Instead, it silently (but benignly) says to you: "No, YOU get out of MY way. I am NOT going to adjust for you, but instead YOU have to adjust to ME. And (if you are honest about it), you have seen what has happened to those who presumed that I would get out of their way but did not do so. THEY got hurt, but I did not get hurt. They did not "break the law" but instead broke themselves by disobeying that law, while the law remained intact. Some even tried so hard that they died trying. WE - alcohol and tobacco and radioactive uranium and poison, and drop-off cliffs with gravity and sharp rocks below - are simply benign and innocently there not forcing you to misuse us nor any one of us to abuse yourself, and none of us are (as immutable natural manifestations of the non-changing benevolently-providing Creator) personally to blame in any way if you do misuse us or any one of us to injure or even kill yourself."
The redemptively restorative nature of the Son part of that "Godhead" previously mentioned is that resurrection power to heal has being ingrained within all lifeforms. If you get a cold or the flu, fall and get bruised or a sprain, scratch or mildly cut your finger, you are automatically healed (an acceptable way of describing it rather that stating that "you heal yourself"). You do not have to command any one of those maladies to not overpower you nor order your own body to heal them. You can prevent healings by electrocuting yourself to death, fatally drinking lethal poison, and/or cutting off that finger or leg or whatever completely. It is NOT the Creator's fault if you do so, but instead YOUR fault.
Thus I would not even dignify a sensible response to arrogant or close-minded hide-their-head-in-the-sand nutjobs who claim that there is no God, no Creator who [obviously] created everything around them, and some deplorable and asinine deviates who further presume and purport that there is nothing supernatural, and no afterlife.
I also will not dignify a sensible response to a fool who says that he knows of nor scientifically detects no Divine nor Divinely-inspired laws in rocks and trees and clouds to differentiate (even by the reactions or lack of reactions of others around him or her) of what is correct from what is incorrect, what is right contrasted to what is wrong:
Job 35:5 Look at the heavens, and see; and contemplate the clouds, which are higher than you.
Job 35:6 If you have sinned, what do you accomplish against Him? And if your transgressions are multiplied, what do you do to Him?
Job 35:7 If you are righteous, what do you give to Him; or what does He receive from your hand?
Job 35:8 Your wickedness concerns a man like yourself, and your righteousness a son of man.
Job 35:9 "Because of many oppressions people cry out; they call for help because of the arm of the mighty.
Job 35:10 But none says: "Where is God my Maker, Who gives songs in the night,
Job 35:11 Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser than the birds of the air?"
Job 35:12 There they cry out, but He does not answer, because of the pride of evil persons.
Job 35:13 Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.
Job 35:14 How much less when you say that you do not see Him, that the case is before Him, and you are waiting for Him!
Job 36:5 Hey, God is mighty, and does not despise any; He is mighty in strength of understanding.
Job 36:6 He does not keep the wicked alive, but gives the afflicted their right.
Job 36:13 The godless in heart cherish anger; they do not cry for help when He binds them (such as atheists who hold a grudge against God and Christianity and religion because of some personal tragedy they suffered through).
Job 36:14 They die in youth, and their life ends in shame, among the prostitutes.
Job 36:15 He delivers the afflicted by their affliction, and opens their ear by adversity.
Job 36:16 He also allured you out of distress into a broad place where there was no cramping, and what was set on your table was full of fatness.
Job 36:17 But you are full of the judgment on the wicked; judgment and justice seize you.
Job 36:18 Beware lest wrath entice you into scoffing; and let not the greatness of the ransom turn you aside.
Job 36:19 Will your cry avail to keep you from distress, or all the force of your strength?
Job 36:20 Do not long for the night, when peoples are cut off in their place.
Job 36:21 Take heed, do not turn to iniquity, for this you have chosen rather than affliction.
Job 36:22 Hey, God is exalted in His power; who is a teacher like Him?
Job 36:23 Who has prescribed for Him His way, or who can say: "You have done wrong"?
Job 36:24 Remember to extol His work, of which humanity has sung.
Job 36:25 All persons have looked on it; humanity marvels at it from far off.
Job 36:30 Hey, He scatters his lightning about Him, and covers the roots of the sea.
Job 36:31 For by these He judges peoples; He gives food in abundance.
Job 36:32 He covers His hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark.
Job 36:33 Its crashing declares concerning Him, who is jealous with anger against iniquity.
Psalm 14:1 To the choirmaster. Of David. The fool says in his heart: "There is no God." They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good.
Psalm 39:8 Deliver me from all my transgressions. Make me not the scorn of the fool!
Psalm 53:1 To the choirmaster: according to Mahalath. A Maskil of David. The fool says in his heart: "There is no God." They are corrupt, doing abominable iniquity; there is none who does good.
Proverbs 11:29 He who troubles his household will inherit wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise.
Proverbs 29:9 If a wise man has an argument with a fool, the fool only rages and laughs, and there is no quiet.
The opening verse of The HOLY BIBLE exposes and contradicts fool atheists right from the start:
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
An atheist or agnostic might ask: "What proof can you show that the Bible is true?"
ME: Have you ever read the Bible yourself which you have mindlessly or arrogantly taking it upon yourself to doubt or accuse without authority nor qualification nor sufficient educated knowledge to do so? I'm talking about the entire Bible, to get the proper context. If you have, exactly what part or parts are wrong or inaccurate? Name them! Now! What proof is there that you are reading these alphabet letters?
THEM: It's obvious.
ME: Your statement that it is allegedly obvious did not and does not prove either that it is obvious nor that you were reading alphabet letters.
THEM: To me it does.
ME: That's your opinion.
THEM: Being my opinion does not make it wrong. And it is not your opinion also?
ME: Question yourself. What makes your opinion valid or invalid, and what basis do you have for stating that opinion?
THEM: Which of your compounded questions should I reply to first?
ME: You ask me. But how do you know that you asked me?
THEM: I don't know. Where were we?
ME: You don't remember? Why don't you remember the questions?
THEM: I can remember them.
ME: Prove that you can remember them.
THEM: I don't have to prove I can remember them.
ME: That does not prove your claim that you can remember the questions.
THEM: I gotta go. I have other things to do.
The Bible states this:
Titus 1:1 (RSV) Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to further the faith of God's elect and their knowledge of the truth which accords with godliness,
Titus 1:2 in hope of eternal life which God, who never lies, promised ages ago
Titus 1:3 and at the proper time manifested in his word through the preaching with which I have been entrusted by command of God our Savior;
Titus 1:1 (KJ21) Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is according to godliness,
Titus 1:2 in hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the world began,
Titus 1:3 but hath in due times manifested His Word through preaching which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Savior,
So God never lies and has never lied, even though he - like His human creatures - has the capacity to choose to do so, but which choice to do so He has never ever yet done (and probably never will).
This webpage author personally does not pompously want to take it upon himself to declare that any aforementioned Scripture passages themselves are dishonest lies nor declare that the male humans who wrote them were lying liars. I do not have grounds to do that. How do I know that he who said whatever was stated in Scripture was or was not lying? What proof do I have either way? I have my own eyes to see natural phenomena of the environment around me, and a brain to merge and coordinate what I see and have seen into logical thoughts, to discern whether or not those phenomena and processes of nature I have and do observe and think about line up, correlate, and are concordant with the words of the Bible. Presumptive belligerence expressing denial or acceptance simply would not cut it nor establish validity nor invalidity to either condone or accuse:
Job 37:19 Teach us what we shall say to him; we cannot draw up our case because of darkness.
Something that helps me decide whether Scriptural predictions and promises are true or false and thus believable or not believable is my past experience so far during my 60+ years of existence on this planet. Never once - and I cannot overemphasize - NEVER ONCE! has what the Creator created (including and especially The HOLY BIBLE) ever proven to be in any way unreliable or capricious. EVER! Not merely myself, but the same has applied and yet applies to EVERY human being who has ever lived on planet Earth and who is now living on planet Earth.
Second Samuel 22:31 This God: His way is perfect; the promise of the LORD proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him.
Magnetic ionosphere protection, sunrises, sunsets, eclipses, gravitational strength and global uniformity, air and light and water and chemicals stability (at every moment in the present) and consistency (repeatedly and relentlessly appearing always exactly the same second after second, minute after minute, hour after hour, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, decade after decade, etc.) -- everything has ALWAYS been PERFECTLY consistent and reliable. To and for EVERYONE.
Psalm 18:30 This God: His way is perfect; the promise of the LORD proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.
We are not talking about fallible humans, even those who claim to be Christians. Our God and Creator is NOT humans who make mistakes, whether they wanted to or not. The Creator, contrasted with who plus what He created, are separate entities entirely, in one sense.
Moreover, the Creator God's benevolence has been absolutely IMPECCABLE throughout my 60+ years in whatever I have perceived with my five physical senses of sight, taste, touch, hearing, and smell.
COULD God screw up even a tiny bit at least one time against at least one person who now lives on this planet or is going to live on this planet? How about skipping at least one day when "the Sun" or "sunlight" or whatever it is best termed does not "rise" (or however you want to describe it)? Or at least does not "rise" exactly on time according to prediction based upon careful and truthful observations of the past and honest speculation based thereof?
If you are "faithlessly" really worried about a "Divine screw-up", be catatonically frightened to even take one step out of bed for fear of God's hitherto-consistent floor molecules all of a sudden not supporting you so that you painfully fall into the basement and break either one or both of your legs and perhaps a lot more. If you "presumptuously" are NOT afraid of God's molecules suddenly becoming unstable and inconsistent to support you, go ahead and be a dork of faith assuming that the floor will hold you up when you step on it.
"Dork" of "faith?" A "religious extremist" or "holier-than-thou" "hypocritically-judgmental" "dangerous" "radical?"
Which leads me to become overwhelmingly convinced that the Lord God (i.e. Creator) is indeed as reliable as can possibly be, and thus has exhibited NO indication whatsoever of being dishonest and lying about His promises and both promises and threats relating to eternal destinies as defined by Him as He has at least "probably" relayed to and through His sometimes-fallible, harassed-by-non-solicited-temptation, human Bible-book authors.
Admittedly, the chance yet exist that the Lord will someday, somehow, screw up even a tiny bit against one or more of his creation.
So go ahead and be afraid if you want. Go ahead and thereby cause others concern, and trouble. "Have You come to destroy us?" bellered out the demoniacs recorded in Scripture.
But do not bother nor harass nor ridicule Christians who claim that they perfectly trust God to be reliable 24/7. You do not know their mind nor what they know. So don't be an ass by condemning them when you yourself do not know what you are talking out and have not a clue about what they know or do not know.
It is not God the Creator's fault that "acts of God" like earthquakes, tornadoes, forest fires from lightning, meteorite impacts, and other natural disasters have hurt stupid people who have been fooling around in their futile sins, who have wasted time not learning to get out of God's immutable way regarding and not concerning His created natural phenomena.
Job 34:33 Will He then make requital to suit you, because you reject it? For you must choose, and not I; therefore declare what you know.
Everything makes perfect sense according to his revealed Scriptures. For example, it has dawned on me (and to other enlightened scientists) that the Creator created starlight from supposedly mega-light-years-distant stars enroute to Earth which we can and sometimes do continue to observe every night - thus in no way contradicting a young-Earth creation as described in Genesis chapter 1 with the Hebrew word for "day" yom (pronounced: yohm) preceded by an ordinal number and qualified with the Hebrew idiomatic expression: "...and there was evening and there was morning" -- meaning NOT a symbolic "thousand years" (not to mention the ludicrous and absurd millions and billions of years past) but instead a Creation Week of exactly and precisely 24-hour periods, with or without the sunrise and sunset timing from the Sun created on Day 4 of Creation Week.
Not only that, but the simple and basic moral tenants contained within the Old and New Testaments of The HOLY BIBLE should more or less be common public knowledge by now, so that:
Heb 6:1 (RSV) Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
Hebrews 6:1 (KJ21) Therefore, leaving the principle of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
Hebrews 6:2 of the doctrine of baptisms and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead and of eternal judgment.
Now, it greatly helps to get semantics straight.
For example, the word "inflammable" literally means NOT flammable, whereas the word "flammable" means flammable (i.e. combustible). Similarly, the phrase "politically correct" means politically CORRECT (as the LORD defines "correct" according to His HOLY BIBLE)....whereas the phrase "politically incorrect" literally means politically INCORRECT (as God defines "incorrect" according to His HOLY BIBLE). For even "conservative" TV and radio talk-show hosts to use the phrase "abortion rights" is wrong, with the implication that either one is for abortion rights or instead against abortion rights. Whatever the case, the errant word "rights" is included and used, to errantly establish the given of a "right" by default, which makes things confusing.
Instead, the buzzword phrase should be: abortion crimes or - better yet: abortion sin. Then, the questions could be properly and correctly asked: "Are you for abortion sin, or instead against abortion sin?" Now we're getting somewhere, instead of treading mud in the same place and getting nowhere.
Similarly, instead of asking: "Do you support equal rights for women?" ask: "Do you support anti-domestic insubordinate-gender adversarially-competitive-against-men feminist-sexist chauvinists?"
Instead of asking: "Do you support evolution science?" ask: "Do you support evolution mythology pseudo-scientists?" - or better yet: "Do you support anti-book-of-Genesis evolution-heretics?"
Unfortunately, even some so-called conservatives and moralists have that backwards and inside out, resulting in lamentable confusion, as Isaiah would describe it:
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 29:16 You turn things upside down! Shall the potter be regarded as the clay; that the thing made should say of its maker: "He did not make me"; or the thing formed say of him who formed it: "He has no understanding"?
Is not "Intelligent Design" obvious, at least to those who are intelligent themselves?
You see, we true Christians do not label things as infidels and apostates call the shots. We do not accept the false and misleading terminology of the accursed, no matter how they revile and blasphemously misconstrue the truth, nor vainly and futility attempt to make acceptable what is not acceptable, nor concoct weaselword semantics to obscure the facts. We do not call homosexuals "gay," nor abortion homicide "choice" or "health" or "freedom," nor evolution "science," nor porno immodesty "art."
We are here to rectify language, as the prophet states:
Zephaniah 3:9 "Yes, at that time I will change the speech of the peoples to a pure speech, that all of them may call on the name of the LORD and serve him with one accord.
So, all weaselworders and atheists can verifiably be considered dishonest liars, short-sighted in their overall lifeviews, and full of mischievous and malicious prejudice....whereas God's elect saints are acknowledged to be truthfully honest, far-sighted in their temporal and eternal perspectives, and accommodatingly acceptant of what in actually and really was and is and will be.
Revelation 17:14 ...they will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those (religious-right Christians) with Him are called (NOT "self-appointed") and chosen and faithful (true patriots)."
Having said all that, the question might be asked: "Can we really trust God?"
The cause for such a suspicious query is that God the Creator did the apparently dastardly deeds of putting a couple very-serious stumbling blocks in the Garden of Eden, which stumbling blocks our primal ancestors Eve and Adam (according to the quite-believable historically-recorded Holy-Writ account) inevitably and miserably made use of.
Now, it is true that the LORD Himself did not order the two humans to talk to the serpent, nor command them to act according to the Devil's half-lie (not half-truth) deceptive assertions and suggestions, nor did God Himself force the primal human pair to irreparably sin and consequently thereafter bring sin and all resultant consequences onto ongoing human experience.
He instead gave the first married couple free-will choice (whoopie?) -- dissimilar to animals driven and living only by pre-programmed instinct irregardless of what environmental stimuli they complexly encounter and react to as to whatever they predictably do if everything is taken into consideration.
If God did something so devastating in the Garden (but He Himself was not to blame because He did not force anyone to do anything wrong) as He clearly did (concerning the imposition of the non-solicited serpent and that non-asked-for dangerous Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil (and what did the words: "evil" and "die" really mean to innocent Adam and Eve?), how can we trust Him that He will not impose something like that or similar in the future at any "time" throughout eternity?
To be fair, He (in the form of His Son) did humble Himself to be born a finite helpless baby not in some fancy motel or hotel but in a barn (i.e. livestock stable, and laid in a hay-filled manger), then allowed Himself to be humiliated by antagonist accursed-"jewish" pharisees and scribes and others, then even more embarrassed by being murdered as a presumed-guilty-but-officially-declared-innocent seditionist on a Roman-torture cross with the insidious?-but-truthful Roman Indictment of "King of the Jews" posted above His dying head. And all so that we could get into eternal life with the Lord in Heaven by simply believing that the Son of God was God in the flesh and that His atoning death on a cross redeemed us forever.
But why did He even do what He did in the Garden in the first place? What was the point? While we are on the subject, why did he give former-archangel Lucifer a free will to rebel against the Lord? What was the point of that?
Here we can compare three different realms of sentient beings: the realm of Almighty God the Creator, the realm of Satan and demons and angels, and the realm of humanity. It almost goes without saying that the realm of the Creator is astronomically larger and almost-incredibly wiser and phenomenally more powerful and infinitely more knowledgeable than either of the two types of created beings: the created heavenly beings and especially created earthly beings.
Why should-have-been-smart-enough Lucifer would even toy with the ridiculous idea of doing away with God the Creator and then presuming to take over and operate everything in creation by himself is the epitome of lunatic irrationality. And the realm of humankind is plainly limited to planet Earth, as God stated in Genesis chapter one (and isn't it telling that us limited-capacity pathetically-weak-and-incompetent human beings have not really colonized nor conquered any moon or planet than our own, let alone conquering the Sun or any other star)?
There is therefore a huge gamble involved, and the stakes are tremendous in scope and duration. The Bible does state that God will do this and that positive and benevolent throughout the ages of the ages for those who love and obey Him, and that He will do this and that negative and tormenting throughout the ages of the ages against those who hate and disobey Him.
Even though we are not certain that that will actually happen, and thus by default have to assume such by "faith," the gamble will probably and most likely pay off if we get on God's side rather than vice-versa. If it doesn't pay off, we will have done everything we could under the circumstances, and if we lose, we lose, and won't be able to do anything about it anyway.
But if we win the gamble, we win big.....VERY big.
It perhaps would have been nicer (but incredibly more complicated and burdensome) if we had not the necessity to act by faith and instead could control everything in the sense of laboriously and tediously measuring and evaluating everything with our senses of sight and hearing and touch. But there is, strangely, strong indication that what God has promised in the past, is promising now, and promises for the future is in accord with whatever we can perceive with our five human senses:
Second Peter 1:16 (RSV) For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
Second Peter 1:16 (KJ21) For we have not followed cunningly devised fables when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty.
First John 1:1 (RSV) That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon and touched with our hands, concerning the word of life--
First John 1:2 the life was made manifest, and we saw it, and testify to it, and proclaim to you the eternal life which was with the Father and was made manifest to us--
First John 1:3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you may have fellowship with us; and our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.
First John 1:1 (KJ21) That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of Life
First John 1:2 For the Life was manifested; and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that Eternal Life, which was with the Father and was manifested unto us:
First John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard, declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
The existence of Creator God is a given according to The HOLY BIBLE:
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.
The first part of that verse is an obvious deduction, in that who would draw near to any entity who or which he or she believed was not existent? What does not exist obviously does not have a mind nor free-will choice of its own, nor can it call itself by itself into existence.
The second part involves reactionary logic, relating to expected positive response in approaching the entity who can and will respond back positively. Why would anyone knowingly want to approach anything that bites back or hurts or even kills them in their exploratory endeavor?
It takes a leap of faith - an assumption and not a presumption - to have the apparent audacity to verbally or mentally "go out on a limb" and verbally talk to the Creator (who probably will not audibly talk back, for the time being). Such action and behavior is not irrational, and in times of desperation, talking to the Creator can and has resulted in some VERY strange things happening involving human and not animal creatures who has thus prayed and certain aspects of the creation around him or her.
I can remember two significant times I did that during my life so far. As you can tell, I am not your typical run-of-the-mill theologian and Christian with some of my seemingly-unique and unusual religious ideas. So I earnestly prayed to the Creator for a spouse, and eventually took steps myself (in tandem with God's circumstantial timing and provision) to obtain from Him a gal who is quite the helpmate for me. Another time I was in dire financial straights because of the effects of a Minnesota flood against my trailer home plus unfairly becoming unemployed, and the Lord through Divine-guided bankruptcy relieved me of $50,000 worth of credit-card debts across the board. I could name incident after incident and happenstance after happenstance -- most unusual coincidences of what could only be considered Divine Providence. How about in your case during your life so far involving a personal Creator God?
Matthew 6:8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.
Matthew 7:7 "Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Luke 11:9 And I tell you, Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Luke 12:31 Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things shall be yours as well.
Luke 12:32 "Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Luke 13:24 "Strive to enter by the narrow door; because many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.
John 16:24 Up to now you have asked nothing in my name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
First John 3:22 and we receive from Him whatever we ask, because we keep His commandments and do what pleases Him.
First John 5:14 And this is the confidence which we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us.
