Wordplay:
Too Much and Too Little

The New-Testament Scripture verse:

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

has been used by demented, warped, and twisted heretics purporting a so-called "christian" basis for pseudo-equality pertaining to human gender by mis-implying and mis-inferring that it supports and substantiates the despicable, godless, confusion-breeding, godless, and even dangerous phenomenon of women becoming and being in charge of men as much as men becoming and being in charge of women, in violation against:

Isaiah 3:12 My people: children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. My people, your leaders mislead you, and confuse the course of your paths.

Nahum 3:13 Hey, your troops are women in your midst. The gates of your land are wide open to your foes; fire has devoured your bars.

First Timothy 2:12 I allow no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent.

Let's examine Galatians 3:28, and determine what actually is meant and some of what is not meant by the verse, not merely according to the intentions of Saint Paul who wrote it, but the Holy Spirit who allowed it to become part of the canonical Holy Bible. [And if your opinion of what the Holy Spirit has allowed pertaining to this is contrary to mine, may He strike you dead, however and whenever, sooner or later, similar to what He did to anti-Jeremiah Hananiah in the Old Testament and anti-Peter Ananias and Sapphira in the New Testament!]

As we both should be well aware, ignorant and superficial interpretations of Bible verses are not only childish but even apostate. For example, to presume that the verse:

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

literally means that Paul was actually and physically crucified with Christ....is wrong and absolutely ridiculous! For one thing, if Paul had been physically crucified - whether or not with Christ - he would have become physically dead and not able to write what he wrote. Furthermore, we know from Biblical history that Paul himself never hung on a cross alongside Jesus when the Lord hung on His cross, but instead there were only two thieves who hung on their crosses alongside Christ, one penitent and the other impenitent.

The real multi-purpose meanings of Galatians 3:28 include such concepts as all human beings of whatever brand or designation have eternal souls, have moral responsibilities, and are morally cognizant. Another logical and applicable meaning is that there is unity of purpose as to submission, obedience, and honoring the lordship of Jesus Christ as part of the Triune God, plus enthusiastically serving Him as His missionaries to the nations.

Apart from that, there obviously are - in fact - distinct differentiations of Jew compared to Greek, slave compared to free, male compared to female, and so on. First of all, they are distinct and different simply because of the different and non-synonymous names and categories given to each one of them. To wit, elephants and fleas are different with different non-synonymous names. Grass and water are different with different non-synonymous names. And I could of course go on and give millions and even billions or trillions of examples similar to that.

Not only do those different entities have different names, but they have different genetic, cultural, environmental, and phsiological characteristics, capabilities, and inabilities compared to each other.

Such differences do not mandate a lack of interdependence with each other, a necessity of adversarial or lethal conflict against each other, nor required hatred and prejudice against each other.

Each has their own function and echelon of greater or lesser importance or usefulness regarding various conditions and circumstances, depending upon the innate God-given capacities and characteristics they were endowed with, and which they cannot or should attempt to go beyond nor outside of.

Revelation 13:1 "And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems upon its horns and a blasphemous name upon its heads.
Revelation 17:3 And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of blasphemous names, and it had seven heads and ten horns."

"Why, that's silly" - some might blurt out. "Who ever heard of anything real with 10 horns and 7 heads? Ridiculous!" - some might ridicule in their know-it-all-but-know-nothing arrogance. "It's is obviously symbolic symbolism -- a mythical and figurative allegory or metaphor! Who knows WHAT it means? NO one really knows. It is therefore meaningless and absurd...." - they would continue on in their disbelieving blatter.

The only problem is that if they read more of their Bible, and a little more carefully, they would discover that many times Scripture interprets its own symbols, and allegories, and metaphors:

Revelation 17:7 But the angel said to me, "Why marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast with seven heads and ten horns that carries her.
17:12 And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast.
17:16 And the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast will hate the harlot; they will make her desolate and naked, and devour her flesh and burn her up with fire.

The other day I was talking to a pastor acquaintance (I hesitate to call him "friend") who stated that the 1000 years spoken of in the New-Testament book of Revelation are NOT literally 1000 years......

[Revelation 20:4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom judgment was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony to Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Revelation 20:5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him a thousand years.
Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be loosed from his prison...]

......because he stated that 1000 was simply "a holy number" to the Lord, and he said that: "it says that a day to the Lord is a thousand years.

My answer to that lunacy was and is that why didn't God choose any other "holy" number like 3 for the Trinity, 7 for the golden lampstands, 12 for the tribes of Israel, 14 for the generations of Matthew chapter 1, or 40, or 70, or 400 for the years of Hebrew captivity, etc. etc. etc. ad nauseum? How about re-translating or paraphrasing it instead 969 years in honor of Methuselah?

And, if he had read the Bible more carefully, instead of gullibly swallowing some evolutionist pseudo-scientist's concocted heresy, he would perceive that 1000 years to the Lord is AS one day - NOT equivalent mathematically TO 1000 years:

Psalm 90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but AS yesterday when it is past, or AS a watch in the night.
2Peter 3:8 But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is AS (NOT "is") a thousand years, and a thousand years AS (again, NOT "is") one day.

Sort of helps give credence to 24-hour-period days (and ONLY 24-hour days!) during Creation Week mentioned in Genesis chapter 1 where the Hebrew word for "day" is yom (pronounced: yohm) which is preceded by ordinal numbers plus each having the Hebrew idiomatic phrase: "...and there was evening and thre was morning...." (with or without the Sun being created on Day 4 of Creation Week).

Now you know how religious cults start and linger on - and using the actual words of genuine Scripture to counteract such despicable tripe.

With reference to the title of this webpage, I have repeatedly.....incessantly.....relentlessly.....discovered that it is virtually impossible while surfing cable-TV channels to - sooner rather than later - inevitably be attacked by the visual partial porn of mopheaded women and girls (with loose long hair) - whether on newscasts found on CNN or FOX or MSNBC, during commercials, within movies, on soap operas, during sports games, and so on. To make it worse, the women and girls pictured are facially-attractive slender-figured white (caucasian) women rather than homely fat ones or negroid women who are less erotically appealing to this caucasian guy. There simply is too much indecently-hairstyled female humans portrayed on the boob tube if one wants to stay pure in heart and non-defiled in mind. Besides that, there is also a plethoria of the onslaught of bare-naked shoulders, nude arms and legs, bare feet, and so on.

At the same time, is there not is too little of complete, mutually-ALL-naked-and-soles-of-feet-exposed XXX-rated videos of heterosexual intercourse....which would be the logical and final fulfilment and satisfactory resolution of the erotically-enticing mopheadedness and other partial nudity previously mentioned?

Revelation 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth.

Now, the fair-minded realize that some non-converted people are like dormant seeds ready to someday sprout in response to certain outside conditioning, but have you ever noticed the characteristics of humans who never express verbal or written morals nor acknowledgment of the Bible as the source of them nor portray any positive witness for Jesus Christ? They are like soul-less irrational animals operating solely on biological breathing and digestive and reproductive and excretory mammal-functioning instincts, reacting with their physical and mental senses to environmental stimuli with sexual lust, territorial and authority-hierarchal belligerance, conformity to whatever majority customs, greed, biased prejudice and malice, deceptive weaselwording or noncommunicative bruised-ego silence, and so forth.

1Corinthians 2:14 The nonspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

2Peter 2:12 But these, like irrational animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and killed, reviling in matters of which they are ignorant, will be destroyed in the same destruction with them....

In the usually-futile attempt to be nice to most such [persons] in the hope of facilitating their being "born anew" or "born from above" in Christ, the pathetic outcome is as follows:

Isaiah 26:10 If favor is shown to the wicked, he does not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness he deals perversely and does not see the majesty of the LORD.

It is to these the following applies and will continue to apply:

Isaiah 10:22 For though your people Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. Destruction is decreed, overflowing with righteousness.
Romans 9:27 And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: "Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved;

Matthew 7:23 And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers.'

Luke 13:23 And some one said to him, "Lord, will those who are saved be few?" And he said to them,
13:24 Strive to enter by the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.
13:25 When once the householder has risen up and shut the door, you will begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, open to us.' He will answer you, 'I do not know where you come from.'
13:26 Then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.'
13:27 But he will say, 'I tell you, I do not know where you come from; depart from me, all you workers of iniquity!'
13:28 There you will weep and gnash your teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God and you yourselves thrust out.

In Heaven and Eternal Life - according to the Bible - it seems that there will be too little (if any) of not only mopheadedness and heterosexual intercourse of any type and degree, but also the other types of partial nudity (especially of female humans):

Mark 16:5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe; and they were amazed.

2Corinthains 5:4 For while we are still in this tent, we sigh with anxiety; not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

Revelation 1:13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden girdle round his breast;

Revelation 6:11 Then they were each given a white robe (probably long-sleeved and full-length, and not truncated nor shortened) and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been.

Revelation 16:15 ("Wow, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is he who is awake, keeping his garments that he may not go naked and be seen exposed!")

And according to Revelation 21, there will be no "sea" anymore (and how does that grab you, you ocean-lovers and beach surfers?)

So much for "Paradise Restored, with the formerly-delightful? public nudity without shame?

"Bummer," one might conclude. "God seems to be such a prude!" legitimate and understandable sex-lovers would be tempted to presume:

Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels (neuter-gender ghost types, with big-bird white wings?) in heaven.
Mark 12:25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels (sterile and emasculated spirit forms, with flopping white wings?) in heaven.

"Isn't that just great?" you might think. Like angels - without scrotums and penises, nor shapely female breasts with nipples and vulvas and vaginas, and every one without buttocks buns? In death there is automatic divorce, and no marital sex in "paradise?" Hooray. Whoopie. Super.(?)

But - again - read the words carefully. It does NOT state that what God has joined together in matrimony God now eternally separates by divorce, but rather that no one will get married and no one will give any in marriage. Important difference!

As far as the lack of the sight of public nudity - with or without airport ultrasound or X-ray full-body scanners - an intriguing verses is found within the New-Testament book of Hebrews:

Hebrews 4:13 And before Him no creature is hidden, but all are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

So God the Creator has the equivalent of X-ray or ultrasound vision. But will we have that capacity also? The Bible states:

Romans 8:29 For those whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, in order that He might be the first-born among many brethren.
1John 3:2 Beloved, we are God's children now; it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when He appears we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

What does THAT mean: "...be like Him....?"

Keep in mind, that all that is better than burning with torment with weeping and gnashing of teeth in the Lake of Fire forever consigned to the Outer Darkness, to the ages of the ages!

Mere "symbols?" "Metaphors?" "Allegory?" Well, is a peach a pear? An apple an orange? A giraffe a hamster, or an eagle a snake? NO, a peach is a peach, an apple an apple, an orange an orange, a giraffe a giraffe, a hamster a hamster, an eagle an eagle, and a snake a snake!

Many seem (and do!) have great difficulty properly distinguishing what is "symbolic" (and therefore in essence quite meaningless to them) in the Bible from that which is "obviously" to be taken literally.

To and for such people, the Holy Spirit comes to the rescue in terms of needful and necessary enlightenment. I am referring to the potentially-lethal Spirit who caused Ananias and Sapphira in the book of Acts to drop dead on the spot. I am alluding to the Death Angel who exterminated 186,000 Assyrian soldiers in one night, who struck Herod down dead and was eaten by worms. Who annihilated all the first-born of the Egyptians in one night. Such awesome supernatural entities - in control of and able to cause and not cause, allow and not allow, contracting or not contracting cancers, heart attacks, strokes, natural accidents, will help people distinguish between the "symbolic" and the "literal" - indeed.

And the Lord also uses the Body of Christ (members of His Church) here on Earth to help the confused and confusing delineate between symbolic and literal. If one does not comply with Spirit-inspired instruction as to what is symbolic and what is literal, one could lose housing, food, utilities, transportation, insurance, reputation, employment and income from and because of members of the Body of Christ who can very effectively and devastatingly influence others one is seriously and vitally dependent upon.

The police with the flashing red and blue lights in one's rear view mirror, plus the attorneys and judges who support them, can also help heretical deviates and rebelliously facetious properly discriminate between what must (not simply should) be taken symbolically in contrast to what must (NOT merely should) be taken literally.

The last time I was with him, that pastor acquaintance I mentioned before was also lamenting the lack of funding and contributions from parishioners, resulting in his church budget being in the red instead of the black. I mentioned that maybe he should charge admission at the door before people enter the sanctuary, like customers do at movie theaters or in fast food restaurants before they get their food. I wonder if shrewd rabbis do that for synagogue-goers. He suggested the possibility of passing around the collection plate after the sermon and not before.

That got me thinking about all charitable giving, including those guys and gals who stand on street corners of roads holding distress signs begging for money from motorists temporarily stopped at stoplights (with other motorists impatiently waiting behind them), and particularly immodestly mopheaded and/or bare-legged streetwalker/vice-cop-harlot lookalikes who stick out their thumbs as hitchhikers.

First off, I would not want my wife-to-be (if I was to accumulate an additional one) to be doing that, or to solicit a hitchhike ride from whoever happened to see her and lustfully take the dangerous chance to pick her up. If she did that once, she would do it again, and it would cause me concern to no end.

Scripture has much to say about donating to panhandlers and giving rides to hitchhikers:

Deuteronomy 15:11 For the poor will never cease out of the land; therefore I command you, You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in the land.

Proverbs 6:1 My son, if you have become surety for your neighbor, have given your pledge for a stranger;
6:2 if you are snared in the utterance of your lips, caught in the words of your mouth;
6:3 then do this, my son, and save yourself, for you have come into your neighbor's power: go, hasten, and importune your neighbor.
6:4 Give your eyes no sleep and your eyelids no slumber;
6:5 save yourself like a gazelle from the hunter, like a bird from the hand of the fowler.
6:6 Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.
6:7 Without having any chief, officer or ruler,
6:8 she prepares her food in summer, and gathers her sustenance in harvest.
6:9 How long will you lie there, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep?
6:10 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest,
6:11 and poverty will come upon you like a vagabond, and want like an armed man.
6:30 Do not men despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his appetite when he is hungry?
6:31 And if he is caught, he will pay sevenfold; he will give all the goods of his house.

Proverbs 14:15 The gullible believes everything, but the prudent looks where he is going.
Proverbs 22:3 A prudent man sees danger and hides himself; but the gullible go on, and suffer for it.
Proverbs 27:12 A prudent man sees danger and hides himself; but the gullible go on, and suffer for it.

Proverbs 28:27 He who gives to the poor will not want, but he who hides his eyes will get many a curse.

Jeremiah 9:4 Let every one beware of his neighbor, and put no trust in any brother; for every brother is a supplanter, and every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.

Matthew 5:42 Give to him who begs from you, and do not refuse him who would borrow from you.
Matthew 6:1 "Beware of practicing your piety before men in order to be seen by them; for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 7:6 "Do not give dogs what is holy; and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under foot and turn to attack you.
Matthew 10:17 Beware of men; for they will deliver you up to councils, and flog you in their synagogues,

Matthew 16:11 How is it that you fail to perceive that I did not speak about bread? Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees" (briefly getting back to the subject of figurative and symbolic vs. literal).
Matthew:12 Then they understood that he did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees (briefly getting back to the subject of figurative and symbolic vs. literal).

Matthew 25:1 (paraphrase) "Then the kingdom of heaven shall be compared to ten maidens who took their bods and went to get money to pay their bills.
25:2 Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.
25:3 the foolish got off the employment grid after sassing their male providers and decided to beg holding signs at street corners and hitchhike;
25:4 but the wise got jobs and were submissive to their providing males.
25:5 while the bills were coming, they all kept on doing their thing.
25:6 Finally the bills came with deadlines for payment.
25:7 Then all those maidens rose and got out their checkbooks.
25:8 And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your employment income, because us insubordinate panhandlers are broke.'
25:9 But the wise replied, 'Perhaps there will not be enough for us and for you; go rather to the dealers, get a life, and buy for yourselves.'

Luke 10:33 But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was; and when he saw him, he had compassion,
Luke 12:15 And he said to them, "Take heed, and beware of all covetousness; for a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."

Luke 14:28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?
14:29 Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,
14:30 saying, 'This man began to build, and was not able to finish.'
14:31 Or what king, going to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and take counsel whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?
14:32 And if not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends an embassy and asks terms of peace.

Luke 18:22 And when Jesus heard it, he said to him, "One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."

Luke 19:8 And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Hey, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have defrauded any one of anything, I restore it fourfold."

Ephesians 4:28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his hands, so that he may be able to give to those in need.

2Thessalonians 3:6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from any brother who is living in idleness and not in accord with the tradition that you received from us.
3:7 For you yourselves know how you ought to imitate us; we were not idle when we were with you,
3:8 we did not eat any one's bread without paying, but with toil and labor we worked night and day, that we might not burden any of you.
3:9 It was not because we have not that right, but to give you in our conduct an example to imitate.
3:10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this command: If any one will not work, let him not eat.
3:11 For we hear that some of you are living in idleness, mere busybodies, not doing any work.
3:12 Now such persons we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work in quietness and to earn their own living.

Now, about putting money into the offering and collection plates within churches on Sunday mornings:

Numbers 18:28 So shall you also present an offering to the LORD from all your tithes, which you receive from the people of Israel; and from it you shall give the LORD's offering to Aaron the priest.

Deuteronomy 12:6 and there you shall bring your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the offering that you present, your votive offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock;
Deuteronomy 12:11 then to the place which the LORD your God will choose, to make his name dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the offering that you present, and all your votive offerings which you vow to the LORD.

2Chronicles 31:12 (a book renamed and thus misnamed by certain cultic catholics) And they faithfully brought in the contributions, the tithes and the dedicated things. The chief officer in charge of them was Conaniah the Levite, with Shimei his brother as second;

Nehemiah 10:38 And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive the tithes; and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers, to the storehouse.
Nehemiah 12:44 On that day men were appointed over the chambers for the stores, the contributions, the first fruits, and the tithes, to gather into them the portions required by the law for the priests and for the Levites according to the fields of the towns; for Judah rejoiced over the priests and the Levites who ministered.

Malachi 3:8 Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, 'How are we robbing thee?' In your tithes and offerings.
3:10 Bring the full tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house; and thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing.

2Corinthians 8:3 For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own free will.....

Hebrews 7:5 And those descendants of Levi who receive the priestly office have a commandment in the law to take tithes from the people, that is, from their brethren, though these also are descended from Abraham.
7:6 But this man who has not their genealogy received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.
